Comparison of Two Different Interior Permanent Magnet Type Low-speed Rotor Structures of Axial-Flux Magnetic Gear

چکیده
Magnetic gears have beneficial features such as low vibration and maintenance-free owing to no mechanical contacts. Among the several types of magnetic gears, a flux-modulated type gear has higher torque density than other types. Thus, it is expected be put into practical use. Previous studies verified that an interior permanent magnet (IPM) structure rotor can reduce eddy current loss in magnets. In this study, IPM structures proper axial-flux (AFMG) were investigated. Two low-speed structures, one spoke-shape segment-shape, compared terms efficiency. Furthermore, prove validity proposed structure, prototype tests conducted.
